I am Janelle, the owner and lead artist at Modern Brow. I am a licensed and 6x certified cosmetic tattooist serving Sonoma County. Cosmetic tattooing has been a passion of mine and I am proud of being able to work on so many beautiful faces in the two years my business has been open. Although I specialize in Microblading, I enjoy creating beautiful Powder Brow and Lip blush as well. I have been trained by some of the most influential artists in the Industry and really take pride in my knowledge and standard of excellence.
Prior to being in the cosmetic tattoo industry I spent ten years working as a Dental Assistant in the Periodontal and Cosmetic Dentist industry. Through those years I have been blessed to work with some amazing people and even more amazing patients. Dentistry was my first love in the professional world and I am so thankful to have had those years. It brings me a lot of joy running into past patients and being able to still have a great connection with them.
I retired from the dental world after I had my first son. I now have three boys that I am so in love with. Harvey, age 5. Arlo, age 2 and the newest member is Maverick who is one month. I always knew I was going to be a boy mom so I wasn’t shocked at all with the blessing of them. They are as rambunctious as can be but have the sweetest souls.
Of course I wouldn’t be able to do this life without my husband Jason. Our lives in the 10 years we have been together has been pretty amazing. We’ve been to some pretty incredible places and had some amazing experiences and I am forever grateful God has put him in my life. This business is just as much his as it is mine. He has helped make my vision and dream come true with everything from building furniture in the studio to building this website.
Outside of work and family my favorite activities are enjoying wine tasting and great food with friends. Most weekends, if I get the chance to sneak away from the kids, you can find me in Healdsburg at Willie’s Wine Bar enjoying food or having a glass of Pinot Nior at Hawley. Camping with family and friends is always at the top of our activity list as well.
